Most children are dependent on their parents and caregivers for their needs and wants. Apart from food, shelter, clothing and other basic necessities, children also crave love and support from their parents. One of the ways that parents can bestow love upon their children is by way of hugs and kisses. However, there is a sense of awkwardness and shyness that some parents and children experience when they hug or kiss in public (Public Display of Affection (‘PDA’)). David Beckham showers kisses upon his children and proudly puts pictures of the same on social media. Should all parents and caregivers follow his example?
