Court orders are not mere suggestions or guidelines that may or may not be followed. They are rules that ought to be adhered to. In the Purcaru v. Vacaru, (2016 ONSC 1609) decision, the courts decided to dismiss a motion for variation in a case where the payor was in violation of numerous court orders. We hope that the judgment in that case will encourage litigants to treat court orders seriously:
